Chocolate Macaroons

It’s Passover and all you want is something fudgey, chocolatey and ready in under 20 minutes. We’ve got you covered and you won’t have to run to the store for matzah meal. These intensely rich macaroons are delicious for dunking and won’t dry out.

Chocolate Coconut Macaroons

2 tsps Water
1 tsp Vanilla extract
3 90g Egg whites
1 cup 200g Sugar
3 cups 340g Unsweetened shredded coconut
2 Tbsps 11g Cocoa powder
pinch Kosher salt


  1. Preheat the oven to 350F.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the egg whites, sugar, water and vanilla. Pour the coconut, salt and cocoa powder over the wet ingredients and mix until combined. The mixture should feel like wet sand, so add a touch more egg white if it feels dry.
  3. Mound onto parchment-paper lined cookie sheets, adding a bit of chocolate over some (or all) of the cookies, if you like. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
