  • 1/2 cup Sugar 100g
  • 112 g
  • 1/4 cup Apple juice or cider 60g
  • 4 Apples sliced thin


  • In a sautee pan melt the sugar, without stirring much, until it is golden brown.
  • Turn the heat down and add the butter and stir until it has melted. Add the cider.
  • Add the apples and cook down until they are caramelized.
  • Remove from heat and cool before arranging in a tight spiral to a cold, unbaked crust. Bake as directed above.
