So Cal Strawberry Mint Julep

The Kentucky Derby is upon us so we're taking this Southern staple and putting a So Cal twist on it by adding some strawberries courtesy of Tamai Family Farms!

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 oz Bourbon
- 6-7 Mint leaves plus more for serving
- 3-4 Medium strawberries plus 1 more for serving
- 2 tsp Brown sugar
- 1/2 cup Crushed ice
- splash Sparkling water
Instructions
- In the bottom of a classic mint julep glass (we sell them in our shop!) or high ball, muddle your mint leaves with the strawberries and brown sugar.
- Add your 2 1/2 oz bourbon and stir. Add ice, and top off with seltzer. Stir all ingredients together and serve with sprig of mint and strawberry on the rim.
