Watermelon Cocktail
Send the kids back to the kitchen to put the dishes away; it’s time to bask in the last rays of the days’ sunshine and sip on this cooling drink. This recipe was brought to you by drink-deserving mom-of-two Jamie Cantor Ginsburg. Go ahead and juice the entire watermelon- a small one will yield about 40 ounces of juice- and give all but 16 ounces of the stuff to the young ones.
Print Recipe Pin RecipeIngredients
- 1 Small watermelon about 40 ounces of juice
- 1 Lime
- 8 oz Soda water
- 8 shots Vodka from the freezer
- 4 Mint leaves
- 4 Basil leaves
Instructions
- Juice the watermelon and set 16 ounces aside. Mix with line, soda water and vodka and serve cold. Avoid adding ice; it’ll water the drink down.
- Place one mint and one basil leaf in the bottom of each glass and crush with the back of a spoon. Pour the drink over the leaves. Garnish with lime wedge, if desired.
