There’s nothing better than the smell of cranberry sauce wafting about to usher in the holidays. Forget the scented candles and jello-y can of sauce and turn on some holiday tunes. Grab a pot, a bag of cranberries and an orange for zesting and get your holiday groove on with this quick, 10-minute magic sauce.
Ingredients
Homemade Cranberry Sauce
1cupWater
2/3cupSugar
3cupsFresh or frozen cranberries
Zest of a 1/2 an orange
1PinchGround clovesoptional
Instructions
Homemade Cranberry Sauce
Bring the water and sugar to a simmer in a medium pot and continue until the sugar has dissolved.
Add the cranberries and zest and cook over medium low for about 10 minutes.
Once the berries begin to pop, turn the heat down, stir for a minute and add the zest, adding cloves if desired.
