The Gourmandise School Shop Refund & Returns Policy

The following Refund and Return Policy refers to in-store or online purchases at The Gourmandise School Shop only. To review The Gourmandise School’s in-person or virtual class policies, please review our Terms & Conditions page.

The Gourmandise School guarantees the quality of our products in our store and on our website. If you’re not satisfied with your purchase, you have up to 14 days to make an exchange or return. An original receipt is required, and items must be in new condition with all original packaging. Refunds will be in the original form of tender (in-store cash refunds are limited to $100, with any balance refunded as a check by mail). Returns accompanied by a gift receipt will be refunded in the form of a Gift Certificate redeemable at The Gourmandise School Shop only. The Gift Certificate is not redeemable for cash and may not be used toward payment for Private Events/Parties or In-Person or Virtual Classes.

The original shipping cost is non-refundable for online purchases and will be deducted from your refund if the return is approved.

All sale and clearance items are final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange. Food items are final sale. Returns and exchanges without proof of purchase will not be accepted.

Prior purchases are not eligible for price adjustments for any reason.

How can I return merchandise purchased in-store?

Please bring the purchased product(s) with the original receipt to The Gourmandise School, located on the third floor at The Santa Monica Place Mall, within 14 days of purchase. Refunds are issued in the original form of payment; if you used a credit card, please bring that card with you. Purchases made in-store with cash will be refunded with cash up to $100, with any balance refunded as a check by mail. Returns accompanied by a gift receipt will be refunded in the form of a Gift Certificate redeemable at The Gourmandise School Shop only; it will not be eligible for payment towards Private Events/Parties or In-Person or Virtual Classes.

How can I return merchandise purchased online?

If your merchandise was purchased online and shipped to you, please contact our Shop Manager, who will then provide instructions on shipping your product back to The Gourmandise School for inspection. The merchandise you want to return must be received at The Gourmandise School within 14 days of delivery. You will be responsible for any shipping costs incurred for returning the merchandise. If your merchandise is approved for a refund, the original shipping cost will be deducted from your refund.

When shipping any item back to The Gourmandise School, please consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. The Gourmandise School does not guarantee third-party delivery, nor can we guarantee we will receive your returned item. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will email you to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original payment method within seven days.

Exchanges

If you need to exchange an item, please bring it to The Gourmandise School, located on the third floor at The Santa Monica Place Mall, within 14 days of purchase, along with the original receipt and the original form of payment. The Gourmandise School will not exchange, replace, or provide a refund without a receipt. If the item was shipped to you, please contact our Shop Manager for instructions on exchanging your item.

Gifts

If you have received a gift purchased at The Gourmandise School Shop and have the receipt or original invoice, you will receive a Gift Certificate for the value of your return, minus shipping fees if applicable. Once the returned item is received, a Gift Certificate redeemable at The Gourmandise School’s in-store or online shop will be mailed to you. The Gift Certificate is not redeemable for cash and may not be used toward payment for Private Events/Parties or In-Person or Virtual Classes.

If the item is approved for a return and was not marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give/send to you, we will provide a refund to the gift giver less the original shipping fee if applicable, and they will find out about your return.
